A track too far

Toyota HiLUX parked by the ATV access track to the radio mast above Glencoe Village during a works visit in October 2020. Before the Forestry track was made, the telecoms crew had to hire an ATV Argocat and drive all the way up from the Tourist Caravan park at the bottom of the hill. The ride through the conifer plantation was rough, with fallen trees making it tough to get through to the top, all that remains of the original track can be seen on the left, a very rough section with wet peat bog on each side. The new track was installed some 12 years ago, and many of the trees have been cut down leaving only stumps.
